Alpha Theta Chapter was founded at West Virginia University on December 6, 1904. The chapter closed in 1909, but reopened in 1925 and remained open until 1998. Alpha Theta Chapter reopened for a second time in 2003, but closed again in 2018. Alpha Theta Chapter reopened on April 28, 2023.
