Gamma Pi Chapter was founded at the University of Oregon on February 11, 1931. The chapter closed in 1972, but reopened in 1977 and remained open until 1986. Gamma Pi Chapter reopened a second time in 1994, but closed again in 2012. The chapter reopened again in 2017.
