Erwin F. Wall served in the U.S. Marine Air Corps as a Captain with the VMT-10 Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, California, during the Korean War. A veteran of World War II, he was killed on January 17, 1952, when his jet plane plunged into the Pacific Ocean about five miles off the coast of California.
