Jeremiah A. Sheehan served in the U.S. Army as a Captain with the 343rd Field Artillery Battalion, 90th Infantry Division during World War II. He was killed in action by enemy artillery on August 8, 1944, during Operation Overlord at Ste. Suzanne, France. He is buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Normandy, France.
