Rosenvall, LT Richard Blaine

Richard B. Rosenvall served in the U.S. Air Force as a First Lieutenant with 9th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 49th Fighter Bomber Group during the Korean War. The pilot of a F-84G Thunderjet fighter, he went missing in action on October 6, 1952, when, while on a combat mission, he left his flight because of a tip tank problem and contact was lost. He was listed as presumed dead on December 31, 1953. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nation Service Medal, Republic of Korea War Service Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.
