Daniel Mullins served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant and Commander of the Armored Reconnaissance Unit (Tank)r, K Troop, 3rd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Blackhorse) during the Vietnam War. He was killed on August 31, 1967 when his Jeep ran over a land mine at Long Khanh Province, South Vietnam.
