Edwin Duncan served in the U.S. Army as a Major with the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. He received the Silver Star for gallantry in action at Luzon, Philippine Islands on February 11, 1945 during World War II. Major Duncan was killed while on active duty with U.S. forces in Frankfurt, Germany on March 19, 1953. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Combat Infantry Medal.
