Kelly, LT Henry Bradford

Henry Kelly served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a First Lieutenant in the 371st Bomb Squad, 307th Bomb Wing during the Korean War. On September 13, 1952, he went missing in action when he flew on a B-29 Superfortress on a bombing mission on the Suiho Hydroelectric Plant. His aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire was shot down and disappeared. His remains were not recovered. He was officially listed as presumed dead on February 28, 1954. He received the following awards: the Air Medal, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
