Carl Keahey served in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant and Infantry Unit Commander, Company D, 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. He died on June 8, 1969 in Binh Long, South Vietnam, two months after his tour began.
