Bullock Jr., 1LT William Cobb

William Bullock, Jr. served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a First Lieutenant during World War II. On August 29, 1944, he piloted a B-17 on a raid on Germany. Over Czechoslovakia, the plane experienced an accident. First Lieutenant Bullock kept the plane flying so that those who were still alive could parachute out, but the plane exploded before he had the chance to follow suit.
