Thomas A. Wall served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps as an Ensign with the 84th Composite Squadron attached to the U.S.S. Makin Island. A fighter pilot, he was killed in action on January 12, 1945, while providing support for the landing at Lingayen Gulf, Philippine Islands, during the Invasion of Luzon. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
