Reed III, CAPT Morris Houghton

Morris H. Reed III served in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain and Fighter Pilot with the 91st Tactical Fighter Squadron during the Vietnam War. He died on May 7, 1964, when his F-101 Voodoo jet fighter exploded in mid-air and crashed on a training flight from its base at RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk, England. He had no opportunity to eject from his stricken aircraft. The wreckage with his body was found near the top of Creach Bheinn Mountain in the Highlands near Glasgow, Scotland.
