Grant, Horace

Horace Grant was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 4, 1965. He attended Clemson University where he was a member of Eta Alpha Chapter. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls as the 10th overall pick in the 1987 NBA draft and moved the the starting lineup in 1989, becoming the Bull's main rebounder and the team's third scoring option after Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Grant helped Chicago win three consecutive NBA championships in 1991, 1992, and 1993. He left the Bulls in 1994 and then played for the Orlando Magic from 1994-99; the Seattle SuperSoncis from 1999-2000; the Los Angeles Lakers from 2000-01; the Orlando Magic again in 2001-02, and the Los Angeles Lakers again in 2003-04. He retired after the Lakers' loss to the Detriot Pistons in the 2004 NBA Finals. He has three daughters, Naomi, Maia, and Eva and one son, Elijah, with his wife Andrea. He also has three children Horace Jr., Deon, and Gianna from previous relationships. Horce Grant's twin brother, Harvey Grant, also played in the NBA, primarily for the Washington Bullets.
