Arthur E. Ury served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant with Company E, 335th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division during World War II. A Platoon Commander, he served with an anti-tank division of the Infantry. He was killed on March 4, 1945, by mortar fire at Wesel, Germany. He is buried in the U.S. Military Cemetery at Margraten, Holland. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
