Terrence R. Titus served in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain with the 310th Air Commando Squadron, 315th Air Commando Group, 13th Air Force during the Vietnam War. A pilot, he died on June 11, 1965, when his Fairchild C-123B Provider plane (#56-4379) hit a mountain during bad weather on a resupply mission near Pleiku, South Vietnam. He was awarded the Aviator Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Gallantry Cross and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
