Hauber, LT Edmond Lawrence

Edmond Hauber served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II and the Korean War. A Second Lieutenant with the 13th Bomb Squadron, 3rd Air Force Bomb Group, Light, he was killed in action on January 26, 1951 when the plane he was in crashed into Mount Fuji. He was returning to Japan after having been rescued two days earlier after a helicopter crash. He had 35 missions over Japan and was awarded two Bronze Stars.
