Jackson, LTC Wilfred

Wilfred Jackson served in the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Far East Command during the Korean War. A Liaison Officer, he was assigned to General MacArthur's staff in the Far East Command, Tokyo, Japan. He was killed on July 27, 1950 in an aircraft crash near Oshima Island, Japan en route to Korea. He received the following awards: Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Korea War Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal.
