Vaughan, CAPT James C.

James C. Vaughan served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Captain with the Marine Attack Squadron 332 during the Vietnam War. He was killed on December 16, 1965, when the jet he was piloting during a training bombing run plunged into Pamlico Sound about 40 miles southeast of the Marine Corps Air Station at Cherry Point, North Carolina.
