Frank King served in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant in G Company, 35th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division during the Korean War. He was killed in action in Korea on March 21, 1952. He received the following awards: Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea War Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge
