Kenneth Hankinson served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman on the USS Mt. Olympus during the Korean War. He died on June 15, 1952 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident near Mount Holly, New Jersey while under delayed orders to report to the U.S. Navy Supply School, Newport, Rhode Island.
