Raymond Kenney served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in the 200th Coast Artillery-Anti Aircraft, 515th Coast Artillery Regiment during World War II. He died of malaria on June 1, 1942 at Camp O'Donnell on Luzon, near Manila, Philippines. He had been taken prisoner in December 1941 and had survived the Bataan Death March.
