Paul Browning, Jr. served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a Cadet and bombardier in World War II. He was killed on March 22, 1943 while stationed at Ellington Field, Texas in a plane crash while on a routine flight at night near Midland, Texas, just four days before he was to graduate as a Second Lieutenant.
