Frederick Kerry served in the U.S. Air Force as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Support Group, 601st Tactical Command during the Vietnam War. A Jet Pilot qualified to fly CH-53 helicopters, he was flying as a co-pilot on a surveying mission when the aircraft crashed over Paderborn, Germany on September 27, 1975.
