Edward B. Ruto served in the Royal Canadian Air Force with the 419th Squadron during World War II. A Pilot Officer and Bomb Aimer, he was killed in action over the Ruhr Valley on May 14, 1943. He is buried in the Rheinberg War Cemetery, Germany.
