Marvin Owen, Jr. served in the Infantry as a First Lieutenant with the 38th Infantry Regiment, Company A, 2nd Division during the Korean War. He was killed on February 12, 1951 by an enemy grenade while fighting at Hoengsong, South Korea. He received the following awards: Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
