Patrick Rapicault served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Captain with the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was killed on November 15, 2004, by a suicide bomber in Ramadi, Iraq, during the siege of Fallujah.
