1971 Yearbook: Gamma Upsilon Members stage a fake bank robbery photo featuring Mom Chapman

For years the T.U. yearbook, the Kendallabrum, published the Greek section by alphabetical order.  This meant year after year the Pikes would end up third from last.  In 1971, a creative photo contest (suggested by Gamma Upsilon) was used to the select the Greek section first place spot in the yearbook.  With permission from the bank president and the blessing of the Tulsa Police Department, Gamma Upsilon members lined up in front of the bank, stopping travvic for almost 5 minutes.  The photo blew away the competition, and for the first time, Gamma Upsilon was featured in first place in the Greek section of the yearbook.
