Benjamin Blanton Dye

Benjamin Dye served in the U.S. Navy as a Printer First Class in the print shop of the aircraft carrier USS Franklin during World War II. He was killed in action when the USS Franklin was bombed in the Pacific Ocean, 50 miles off the Japanese coast. He was awarded the Purple Heart and is memorialized in the Court of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
