Reginald Calvin served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal in the 22nd Infantry, 4th Infantry Division in World War II. He landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Advancing from the D-Day landing toward Cherbourg, France, his division began an assault on June 18, 1944 to secure the harbor. Corporal Calvin was killed in action during the Cherbourg Campaign.
