Joseph Antognini III served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Company C, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division (Wolfhounds) in the Vietnam War. He had been in Vietnam for only four months when he was killed by enemy mortar fire outside Saigon in Binh Duong, Vietnam.
