Arthur Gaedecke served in the U.S. Navy as an Ensign attending the US Naval Officer Candidate School, Newport, Rhode Island, Class 503. He was killed on June 15, 1965 in an automobile accident at the naval construction battalion center at North Kingston, Rhode Island.
