Stanley Castleton served in the U.S. Naval Air Force as a Lieutenant in Patrol Squadron (VP-63). A Naval Aviator (#14299), he was killed on October 19, 1946 at Luzon Island of the Philippines when his airplane crashed while on a Reconnaissance flight.
