Harvey Clark served in the U.S. Navy as a Fireman 2nd Class for the U.S. Naval Reserve in World War II. He was reported missing on November 13, 1942 after the sinking of the destroyer U.S.S. Barton in the Solomon Islands of the South Pacific. He was declared deceased on November 14, 1943. He received the Purple Heart Award and is listed on the Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery, Manila, Philippines.
