Albert H. Price served in the U.S. Army as a Captain with the 23rd Field Artillery Regiment, Philippine Scouts during World War II. He died as a prisoner of war on July 3, 1942, upon the order of Japanese Colonel Tanaka after the capture of Mindanao Island by the Japanese. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star by the War Department on March 13, 1946, for gallantry in action, as well as a Purple Heart.
